About Matt Brown, Producer

Matt Brown also works as a music producer. His comfort with a variety of the American roots styles makes him an ideal candidate for acoustic artists looking to hire a producer for their next project. Matt's recent production credits include Kevin Neidig's, "Only Me," and Annalivia's latest album, "Barrier Falls."

Matt explains his approach:

"My job as a producer changes with each project. Some artists enter the studio knowing very well what they want to accomplish and how they want to go about achieving that goal. My tasks then are straightforward. I act as an objective voice in evaluating performances, creating a plan for post-production, and helping the artist remain healthy, focused, and inspired throughout the process. For some artists, the producer also helps to make musical decisions that influence individual tracks as well as the arc of the entire album. Then my input becomes much more musical, as I offer suggestions for instrumentation, arrangements, and more."
